SANTA ANITA RALLY
One of our most enjoyable rally is the Santa Anita Rally.  Each February, the Club goes to the Santa Anita Race Track for a special weekend of horse racing.  Here are the pictures from our 2004 Santa Anita Day at the Races.....
The Marx Brothers classic 1937 comedy, "A DAY AT THE RACES," was filmed at Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia, California as have several other films with race track themes, including 1936's "Charlie Chan at the Race Track," and 1938's "Hollywood Handicap" and 1936's "The Ex-Mrs. Bradford" (with William Powell & Jean Arthur, and the 1937 version of "A Star Is Born" (starring Janet Gaynor), plus more recent films like 1995's "Nixon," starring Anthony Hopkins.

Picture on the left is the Fountain outside the grandstands and the picture on the right is a view of the infield with our HMC Group in the background.  This was taken from our seats in the Grandstand.
"Place Your Bets" for they're off and running..Where else could you watch the races and get a view like this.
